Probably an easy one for you gurus

I want to put a formula at the end of each row of cells which counts
each cell which and has any text or numbers in it

something like countif not blank

any ideas

thanks

### Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce

=COUNTA(A1:I1)

If formula-blanks (that is, "") must be excluded from the count...

=COUNTIF(Range,"?")+COUNT(Range)

If formula-blanks (that is, "") must be excluded from the count...

=COUNTIF(Range,"?")+COUNT(Range)

This should be:

=COUNTIF(Range,"?*")+COUNT(Range)
