Im using the following formula to count the number of occasions a cell value (in column C) appears in a spread sheet.

=COUNTIF(INDIRECT(CONCATENATE(Y$1,"!",Y$95)),$C97)

It works a treat when there's a value there to count. However, I'd like to post a value of 0 (zero) if it cannot find the value in column C.

Thanks in advance.

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
I'm guessing it throws a N/A error when nothing is available?

If so do this

Excel Formula:
=IFERROR(COUNTIF(INDIRECT(CONCATENATE(Y$1,"!",Y$95)),$C97),0)

Thanks for that. It fixed my issue. Cheers
