countif problem in 2k

What I need to do is find out how many of the line items are "today". This list grows during the day and I made a coversheet to tell how many items are happening today but also keep a record of past events. I tried using a countif(a:a,... but just not quite getting the equation right.

=SUMPRODUCT(--(INT($A$2:$A$10)=TODAY()),--($B$2:$B$10<>""))

what you're looking for?

The date/time values must be true date/time values, each of which ISNUMBER is true.

=SUMPRODUCT(--(INT(A1:A9)=D1),--(B1:B9<>""))
