Hi i am trying to use the countif statement on Excel 2003

i want to count a range of cells say A1: A10 if any of the cells have I/C
in them then i want to count them any other value ignored.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
This worked great thanks...

Now to throw a twist into the mix

if say a1 =i/c a2= a3 =i/c then the count is 2 this is fine

now the hard bit each of the three cells all have a fuel requirement so even if the a2 is blank it might be used for something else so still uses fuel.
What i need is to be able to only add the fuel cell call them d1 d2 d3 if they one have a value and two have i/c in cell a1:a3

can you fix this one..... Thinking caps on i have a stop watch hahah
