I have various columns of data and want to count according to certain criteria, but avoid counting duplicates. For example, in column A, I have a specific EventID, in column B I have the name of every company attending that event and in column C I have the type of event.

I want to find out how many different companies went to each unique EventID and sort the results by event type. For example:

EventIDCompany attendingEvent type
123Company AMeeting
456Company AConference
456Company AConference
456Company BConference

<tbody>
</tbody>

I want a result that does not double count duplicate listings attending the same EventID (I cannot use remove duplicates as I need to maintain the set to run other analytics / there are other criteria to be considered as this is a simplified example):

Conference = 2
Meeting = 1
