hi All,

i am trying to count the number of rows where the total does not match with the sub-components. i have to do this without adding any new row.

Weekly Monday Tuesday
100 10 90
80 10 70
100 30 100

here weekly should be sum of monday and tuesday, i want to count the number of rows where weekly is not the sum of monday and tuesday.

can anyone help please.
many thanks and regards,

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
Surely you want to know what rows are incorrect?
If you have 17 rows out of 50 that are incorrect you're not bothered which ones they are, just that there are 17 incorrect?

I know you can't add a new ROW but can you add/ use another column?

If so =if(weekly-sum(Mon:Tues)<>0,1,0

and sum that column
