Hi,

I have a set of two dates - one date is when a lead (prospect) was received. And, another date is when this prospect actually became a client. I would like to calculate and analyze how long it takes for a lead/prospect to become a client. In years and months and days.... Which formula is best for that?

Thanks so much!

Hi Alinka:

You can use ...
'=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"y")&" Years "&DATEDIF(A2,B2,"ym")&" Months "&DATEDIF(A2,B2,"md")&" days"
where A2 houses the earlier, and B2, the later date.

Just another twist, if you simply evaluate the days difference
=B2-A2
and apply a number or general format
you can then "analyze" these a little deeper - whether that be sorting, averaging, finding std deviation, etc.
