counting certain values within a column of data

Dear Forum,

I am the results secretary for a dart league and have a long column of data listing many different 501 and 301 "out" scores ranging between 2 and 170. What I would like to do is in a single cell below the column, count the number of "outs" greater than 140 points. Can you help me with a single formula in the cell?
