Is there a way to count the number of cells formatted to a particular colour?

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
This one counts red cells in range a1:a10 using For Next loop. You get the idea . . .

Sub CountTheColors()
RedCells = 0
For N = 1 To 10
CellColor = Range("A" & N).Interior.ColorIndex
If CellColor = 3 Then
RedCells = RedCells + 1
End If
Next N
MsgBox "Number of red cells in the first 10 cells of column A: " & RedCells
End Sub

Thanks for that - still new to the forum - I'll try the search next time. In the meantime I'll give it a whirl.
