Is there a way of counting the number of rows in a table after a filtered sort has been applied?

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
Hi
Check out the SUBTOTAL function as this only counts visible rows but make sure that you put the function in a cell that will not be hidden if you do a filter.I add some rows to the top of the worksheet and put the function there

If you only needed a quick count and not a formula-based count you could have used Excel's AutoCalculate feature. For more on this feature see the Excel Help topic for "Quick calculations on a worksheet".
