Hi all. New to the forum - thanks for existing. Looking forward to sharing my knowledge too.

Now -

I have two individual sheets of 19.000 rows in one column.

Sheet one is ingoing payments. (Positive numbers)
Sheet two is (similar) outgoing payments. (Negative numbers)

The sum of a sheet's rows is ca. 35.000.000 $.

But amongst these 19.000 entries, i have a total imbalance /difference of $ 9.50. :eek::eek:

How do I expose the exact imbalance ? Can I match similar +/- numbers and highlight non-matches ? Can I make i separate column where c1=a1+b1 and identify everything that does NOT add up to zero ?

Thanks in advance for any tip.

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
It could be a multitude of reasons why there are different. Is there an identifier on the payments? Payment numbers that appear on both sheets? Using the value itself probably wont be suitable on so many rows.

Thanks for your reply-

The fact is, that unfortunately, as I have outgoing payments with one unique ID, they are refunded from 3rd party with a new ID. Which is foolish.

I guess this has to be done manually as I would have to assign a unique ID to similar amounts which seems impossible.
