I have a list of 500 locations, there are many repeats in the data. I would like to be able to count all of the locations and the repeats so that I am able to make a pie chart. :)

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
One way of accomplishing this would be to create a pivottable. Highlight your list then click 'Data'...'Pivottable and Pivotchart Report'...'Next'...'Next'...'Layout'...You will then see a pop up box with a field in the upper right-hand side (Your header)...drag it to 'Row' and drag it to 'Data'...click 'Ok'... then 'Finish'. You can then create your chart from there.
