Hi

I am trying to find out how I can count the number of blank cells (no colour) within a column.
My colleague has a staff spreadsheet whereby those staff on leave are coloured red, those sick are coloured blue etc etc.
The staff actually available are not coloured, and she needs to be able to count them in a fast fashion. Counting them manually is very time consuming as there are lots of them.

Hope someone can help

Many thanks in advance..

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
Hi. Try this UDF in a regular module

Code:
Function CountNoColor(r As Range) As Long
Application.Volatile
Dim c As Range
For Each c In r
    If c.Interior.ColorIndex = xlNone Then CountColor = CountColor + 1
Next c
End Function

to use as a formula for example

=countnocolor(a1:A100)
