I have a report with the following in each record

Status
Type
Ref No
CRM No
Name
Date Rcd
Equipment
Summary

All I want is a total in the footter of how many records in total there are per report.

I have tried to add a text field with =count(*) but this does not even show up in the report.
I have also tried =count([CRM No]) but this just gives the CRM No of the last record.

Any help appreciated

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
a151=countif($a$1:$a$150,"CRM No")
Wrong forum. This is an Access question, not an Excel one.

Hi Joe,

I have looked at that thread, but it only shows =count(*) which as already stated does not work

Quote from my first reply:
Note that it is very important which Section you place this total in to get an accurate result.
So which Section have you placed this total in?
Is there any Grouping on your Report?

The report is grouped by Status then Type

I have tried to add the textbox with =count(*) into every section but to no avail
