I am having trouble counting the amount of tabs in a separate workbook. So if there are 2 documents and the 2nd document has 10 different tabs is there a way that you can reference the 2nd document from the 1st document and count the amount of tabs are in there?

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
Code:
Sub CountSheets ()
Dim wb as Workbook, book as Workbook,wbsheets_count as long,book_count as Long
set wb = ThisWorkbook
Set book = Workbooks.Open("C:\")

wbSheets_Count = wb.Sheets.count
book_count = book.Sheets.count
MsgBox "This workbook has " & wbsheets_count & " sheets"
MsgBox book.Name & " has " & book_count & " sheets"
End Sub

untested example
