Greetings:

If have a column of student codes

1a3
1q4
2e3
2e3
2f4
3f4
3f4
3f4
2f4
2e3
1a3
1a3

Is there a function where I can count how many times each unique code appears in the column?

Excel Facts

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
You can use a Pivot Table by dragging Student Codes into both the Rows & Values fields.
