Hi,

Having thicky moment but what is the formula to count the number of rows containing non-blank cells in a preset range of rows?

Thanks in advance

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
Thanks for the help Paddy. Though that appears to count the non-blank cells within the range .. i wanted my formula to count the number of rows that contain the non-blank cells in a pre-determined selection of rows.

Here's the formula i was using (which was returning an incorrect answer)

=ROWS(COUNTA(Sheet1!A4:A150))

Where have I gone wrong?

Thanks very much for the input Aladin.

I don't think I've explained it too well. I have worksheet 26 columsn wide with 151 rows. I want my formula to count the rows that contain contain data ,minus header rows, but not the individual cells themselves
