Hi,

How can I count the number of different dates in a column? For example if I had:

03-Jul-12
03-Jul-12
03-Jul-12
04-Jul-12
04-Jul-12
04-Jul-12
05-Jul-12

The formula would return "3".

Thanks!

How to calculate loan payments in Excel?
Use the PMT function: =PMT(5%/12,60,-25000) is for a $25,000 loan, 5% annual interest, 60 month loan.
If your dates are always in sort order, as shown, then I think this formula will work for you...

=SUMPRODUCT(1*(A1:A7<>A2:A8))

Yes, they are in sort order. Both of these are extremely helpful. Thank you very much!

Try this...

=SUM(--(FREQUENCY(A2:A8,A2:A8)>0))
