crating new tab-->group in the ribbon

Hi every one
I can create new tab and then a group. When I went to rename the group, I got a window asking me to enter the new name and also select a "symbol/icon" for the group. I selected one symbol. When I go to the ribbon I do not see that symbol?! why is that? if that option (selecting a symbol) is not used then why it is available? Thank you very much.

Not sure what you saw or were asked can you provide a screen shot of the question being asked? I have only ever seen during command bar edits not the ribbon.

Why you have an option to select an icon I don't know, but as you have discovered it isn't shown.
That's just how it is.
