Hello,

I'm trying to create a macro that is globally available but the Personal Macro Workbook file does not seem to be on my PC.
Can someone therefore help me in terms of creating this or giving me an alternative way of accessing my macro on any worksheet?

Thanks very much.
Sophie

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
I hope this will help.
if in your excel sheet, on your tool bar there is developer, you can find on home, insert........ Developer.
now if you want to view a code on a sheet you can click on View code under Properties.

If this don't help then you need to be clear.

When I open the VBA manager the Project window only has the VBAProject for that particular worksheet. There isn't a PERSONAL.XLS file in there? How do I specifically add this as a Project?

How do I specifically add this as a Project?

Follow the link in post#2, scroll down to the section headed "How do you create the file if it does not exist:" and try to follow the steps outlined there.

I was trying to follow this but the PERSONAL.XLS file wasn't there. :( I'm not sure how I add this onto the Project Window.

Turn on the macro recorder, specify that the macro be saved in Personal, then turn it off. That will create Personal and save it in the right place.
