Hi all,

I currently have a list that looks like this (albeit much much much larger in reality):

I would like to create a slicer for column D (Height (CM)). However, my table is not a pivot table. Does anybody know how to do this? I read online that I have to go into the design tab and do it, but this option is not available because my table is not a pivot table.

Would appreciate any assistance available! :)

Kind regards,

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Make the range into a Table. You can then use slicers just as you can with a pivot table.

Note* I am also worried because my table will be expanding going forward.

I have currently pasted a formula down until row 2000 (my table only goes onto row 800 at the moment), so the range of the table should be fine. However, can it account for any edits I make in these cells? And if I expand the formula to row 3000 in maybe 2-3 years, would this cause any issues?

hope my question makes sense

Apologies for the many responses.

Just wanted to update and say that it works :)

However, I used a macro before that I had recorded, which would:

1) Remove filters
2) Copy paste column F as values in column E
3) Return filters to top row

Now this macro does not work, because I cannot remove filters due to the table being a range now.

Do you have a way to fix this?
