Created a rank column in a pivot table

Is there a way to create a ranking column in a pivot table?

Ranking what and what for? You can display the Top n values easily, if that's what you are after, or sort all the values.

I know how to rank items, and I know how to show the top ten, what I am looking to do is have a column that would show the numbers 1,2,3,4,5,... for an item ranking for example
