I'm trying to create a calculator type formula - where if the qty (say 25) entered in a cell is higher than 10 but lower than 49 then multiply by cell A1.

this would continu until i had cover the different qty breaks (numbers entered) against the cost per item

can any one help

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
Put the thresholds and the multiplication amounts/references in a 2 column table. Then, use VLOOKUP to find the appropriate multiplier. For more see VLOOKUP in Excel help.

HI
if cell B1 has your quantity (say 25)
C1 = =if(and(B1>10,B1<49),B1*A1,"over the limits")
drag the formula down. is this what you are looking for?
