creating a cell reference inside macro

Hi!

Don't know VB particularly well (if at all!). Spreadsheet has 2 sheets, trying to run a macro that will copy the cell contents of 'Sheet1'; cell A4 into an autofilter in 'Sheet2' (where the autofilter selection is 'equals'); except when recording the macro, it only sees the original value being pasted (not the cell contents, which will change frequently)

Here's the VB code:

Selection.AutoFilter Field:=1, Criteria1:="=010400901000370076", Operator _
:=xlAnd

It's the 0104 bit - instead of this value, I want it returning the contents of Sheet1; cell A4.

Appreciate any help on this.

Thanks
Paul

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
Selection.AutoFilter Field:=1, Criteria1:=sheets("Sheet1").range("A4") Operator _
:=xlAnd

Untested, but try:
Selection.AutoFilter Field:=1, Criteria1:="=" & Sheets("Sheet1").Range("A4").value, Operator _
:=xlAnd
