Creating a custom symbol/button for the quick access toolbar

Hello, I have several macros that I want to run using custom symbols on my quick access toolbar. I have figured out how to add the macros to existing symbols but they are not descriptive enough and I want to create something more unique. Does anyone know how to create a custom symbol that I can tie to a macro and then add to my quick access toolbar?
