Creating a Graph with repeating x-axis values

Hello,

I have 3 groups (a,b,c) that each contain 5 items. Each item has a corresponding value (y-axis).

I'd like 2 levels on the x-axis. The first level is the general group name (a,b,c), and the second level level is the specific item # (1,2,3,4,5) within each group. But I want the item # to be repeated on the x-axis 3 times for each group. I do not want the y-value to be graphed for each group over the same item #.

The y-value associated with each item # (1,2,3,4,5) would be on the y-axis.

What is the best way to do this? I really appreciate the help.

Thank you!

Hi beka...in your graph, group A, B, & C use the same item # (1-5).

I'd like to have 3 groups of items #1-5 (corresponding to group A,B,C) and each group use a different #1-5. So #1-5 would be repeated.

I'm interested in how things change over time, group A went first, group B second, and group C last...so I'd like to see how item score changes from the first group to the last and visually represent this by putting the groups next to each other (from left to right on the x-axis), as opposed to on top.

I appreciate your help :)

Basically, I'd like 3 graphs next to each other (but shown on the same chart) using the same Y-axis. Does anyone know how to do this?

Thank you!

Yes this is simple to do, I don't have access to a computer right now but I'll reply when I do sometime today.
