Project is shared, cannot use vba.

I have in A2 - A12, The names of different sheets in the workbook. I would like to create a link so when a user clicks on the cell, it will take them to the specified sheet.

Lets say cell A2 contains the text '1208', when pressed I would like it to open up the sheet 'A1208'

I've done something like this in the past, but cannot for the life of me remember how it was done. Sorry if this is a simple question.

Thanks for the help!

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
Use Hyperlinks

Right Click your Cell - Hyperlink - Place in this document and select your sheet

Also make sure you typr in your Cell Ref ir A2

You can use hyperlinks.

If A2 contains the sheet name 1208 what is A1208? Is that a cell address? Or, is the ACTUAL sheet name A1208?

1208 is the tail number. the 'A' is to designate that it is an aircraft. The actual sheet name is A1208.

Here are a couple of hyperlink formulas you can try.

A2 = 1208

Enter this formula in B2:

=HYPERLINK("#A1208!A1",A2)

Or, you can put the hyperlink formula directly in cell A2:

=HYPERLINK("#A1208!A1","1208")

The hyperlink will take you to cell A1 on sheet A1208.
