Hello, I'm pretty new to the world of excel and it would help me in my new job if I were to get familiar with it. I have an excel spread sheet to which I update with new information every day. What I want to do is create a macro that automatically updates the pivot tables when I past in my new data, but I'm unsure when to start recording my macro. Do I start recording when my data/pivot tables are already set up or do I start recording the macro before any data is inserted???? Any help would be great. Thanks

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
