Hey

I have a problem with a excel document, which i cant seem to fix.

How do i stop excel from creating a number in a columm, when i create a new row.

The row have som standard formel that it creates, and the rows is created in a large tabel.

it have suddently appeared, where i created a new row, and the in a beforehand empty columm it inserts a specifik number from a formel.

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
If I understand you correctly:
You have a large table (configured as Excel Table)
One column has a formula in it.
When you add a new row to the table, the cell in the column with formula gets filled in with the formula.

When you enter a formula in the top row of the table, the formula will be copied down automatically. Excel will show a autocorrect button to the bottom right of the first cell. You can select here to undo the autofill or to stop the autofill. When you tell it to stop, then in theory it won't add the formula to a new row. However I have found it to be inconsistent.

If you don't want the result of the formula to show up, then you can write the formula to show "" (empty) is one of the cells in the row is empty.

example:
=IF([@header3],[@header3]*[@header2],"")
