Creating a report with real numbers out of one with formulas

Hi all! This is my first post, so I'm going to make it a good one... then again, you may say "this guy's not too sharp for asking such a simple question..." oh whatever, here goes.

This one was handed to me recently, and I'm baffled as to how to fix it. I have a scorecard report that I have to fill out daily. I have to move that information over to two other spreadsheets. I know how to link cells across files, but that causes a problem. The "other" sheets get sent by email to people and if the numbers are automated with a standard link (such as ='sheet1.xls'!C5), the product page produces a #REF! error if both files are not present.

The current solution has been to manually copy the information from 'sheet1.xls' to 'sheet2.xls' <s>and update the graphs</s> (not anymore, I fixed that problem real quick). Is there a way to migrate data into several files so that the cell contents are numbers (and not formulas) in both sheets?

I could really use the help. I'm at your mercy, oh gurus of excel!

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Re: Creating a report with real numbers out of one with form

Can you use Copy, then use the Paste Special | Vales option to convert all your formulas to values? If you just Paste over the original range, it essentially converts everything to values in the same place.
