Hi Guys,

Hoping if someone could help me out as I was unable to find the information from others websites.

I am currently trying to create a 'one stop shop' for all the necessary information required by management from the several excel documents that our division has. Some of the information are exported from our PMS, Excel documents, etc. I guess what I would like to do is the below:

Last night Last year Current (Comparisons)
Room Rate $100 $105 $99
Occupancy 60% 50% 40%

Room upsell $500 $450 $445
Other Revenue $300 $200 $250

Number of staff currently on shift 5 3 7

Is this a macro question or a programming one? I would like this for my own accord so that I am 'in sync' with the operations. Please advise soon.

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
Hi and welcome to the forum.
You question is quite broad.
Is what you asking a kind of hyperlinks to other documtens with those information alredy in?
Are going to extract those infomarion from other sheet?
If yes you need to use functions to bring your data to your sheet.
You still need to provide more inforamation to get any help.

Hi Robert,

Thank you.

I guess what I am trying to ask is for excel to identify the individual cells from different workbooks that staff update and export it into a 'centralised' summary document. So yes extracting info from other sheets. Could you tell me a bit more about functions please?
Tks.

Avster,

Welcome to the MrExcel forum.

What version of Excel are you using?

Can we see screenshots of the different types of raw data available, and a screenshot of what the report should look like?

You will generally get much more help (and faster) in this forum if you can post your small samples (what you have and what you expect to achieve) directly in the forum.

To attach screenshots, see below in my Signature block: Post a screen shot with one of these:

If you are not able to give us screenshots, see below in my Signature block: You can upload your workbook to Box Net, and provide us with a link to your workbook.

Your file is not accesible without account details.

As hiker suggested you will be better of to post your screenshot/sample here.

Hmm I downloaded the MrExcel adding for excel and it keeps coming up with an error '52'. Only option is 'End'... unsure what else to do as I have a mac and the other application is a .exe

With 'box' how can I ensure that you can access it without account details Robert?

Avster,

Box.Net is asking for a user id and password.

You have to go back to Box.Net and mark the file for sharing.
