I'm trying to tie the name of a team to their wins and losses so that they ascend or descend based on their performance and on other team performances as well. In other words by imputing through the variables (wins, losses, and ties) a teams would move up or down in the standings.

What exactly would be the formula to establish this linking. It would have to involve both the team name, the team record and win percentage as well as changing the GB (games behind). A lot of people have written on this subject but no one seems to have the be all end all series of formulas. Here's my layout per column in order . . .
Team(s), Wins, Losses, Ties (if any), Games Played (is this necessary?), Win%, and Games Behind

I'd like to have two sheets, one sheet where teams are organized by division (or conference) and another one by league (or even wild-card). In a wild card standing, teams leading in their division (league, conference etc.) would be eliminated from this standing. I would really appreciate the help on this one.

Thanks in advance.
