Creating/appending a table and carrying out calculation at the same time?

Hi All,

I have a query which creates a new table with some monthly spend figures and another query which appends the table with some more monthly spend figures.

Please could you tell me whether it is possible to carry out calculations on the numbers as I bring them into the table (i.e. my source table is in local currency and the new table will need to be in Euros)? I have a currency code in each record so I can use a relational table with exchange rates in for each currency.

(I know I can add an extra query to do this but was wondering if I can do the calculations in the original two queries?)

Thanks,

Poiu

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
You can perform the calculations right in your append query itself. I would recommend starting with a simple Select Query, and program it to return all the records and calculations you need. Then just change it to an Append Query, mapping each field/calculation to the appropriate field in your destination table.
