How do I create a drop-down pick list from another field that is already set up in my sheet. ie. I have a field name in my header row with a list below it. I want to use that list info in my drop-down pick list elsewhere in my sheet.

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Select the cells that have your information for your drop down.

Then click in the name box at the upper left corner and give that field a name.

Now select the cell you want your drop down.

Then go to Data and Validation. Select list. In your source and type =whatever_you_named_your_field
