Hi everyone!

I'm looking to create a custom function that find the percentage of a selected cell. Below is the long hand of the formula I am trying to program.

=(cell selected)*90%

Ideally I'd like the percentage to be a variable (user enters). Thank you!

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
Hi cyounkin,

how about something like this?

Function VAR_PERCENTAGE(x As String, y As String)

VAR_PERCENTAGE = x * y

End Function

custom functions always trip me up too because they are so simple.

have a great day :)
