Hello everyone,
(This should be simple)
I'm trying to format the number input in a cell to appear as 0000 0000 0000 0000. (groups of four with spaces inbetween).
I am using custom formating and it seems to be working BUT the last digit is not right. For eg; i type 1234 5678 9123 4567 but it is coming up with 1234 5678 9123 4560. the last digit is changeing.
Why is this so?? can anyone help with this delema.

Excel Facts

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
Excel will only display 15 significant figures.

Try formatting as Text then entering

1234 1234 1234 1234

You have to either format the cell as Text (CTRL + 1, click Text, click OK) or precede with an apostrophe ('). Unfortunately you will need to key in the spaces

Excel Workbook
A
11234 1234 1234 1234
21234 1234 1234 1234
