Hi,

Would like to ask the forum members whether cross validation is possible in Excel.

For Eg: If I have names in Sheet1 and I want to validate a cell in Sheet2 to show the names which are there in Sheet1.

Thank You

Rohan Fernandes

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
Yes, I believe you can do this by using named ranges.

Give it a go.

As GorD said, create a named range via --

Insert | Name | Define

Then, for your 2nd sheet, activate --

Data | Validatin | select List from the Allow box | enter your named range in the Source box and check In-cell dropdown
