HI - I have typed a formula to sum the list of values based on multiple conditions; my formula goes like this

=SUM(IF('Detailed Mapping status'!B4:B180='Detailed Mapping status'!Z1,IF('Detailed Mapping status'!C4:C199='Detailed Mapping status'!AA1,'Detailed Mapping status'!F4:F1215)))

I used Control + Shift + Enter to make this formula working; but it is not working... please help

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December

All of the ranges must be the same size:

B4:B180 = 177 rows
C4:C199 = 196 rows
F4:F1215 = 1212 rows

Good move!

Yes, indeed:biggrin:, at first I didn't realize the inequality of ranges,

anyhow, here is the modified version of my answer,

Hi, ctsgreddy,

Welcome to the board,:)

As #NAME said, all your ranges need to be equal in size,

assuming the largest of the ranges to be the size of all others, you could switch to non-CSE SUMPRODUCT formula,

Code:
=SUMPRODUCT(--('Detailed Mapping status'!B4:B1215='Detailed Mapping status'!Z1),--('Detailed Mapping status'!C4:C1215='Detailed Mapping status'!AA1),'Detailed Mapping status'!F4:F1215)

If the above doesn't help, elaborate more on what you are trying to achieve
