Anyone know what is the technical difference between a 'regular' .csv file and the .csv(msdos) file when exported from Excel?

Thanks in advance!

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
No, but the Macintosh version has some issue with character sets differing from Windows according to the help file (and my loose interpretation).

If there is an actual difference I could not find it. Saved two exact files, one in each format. The MD5 hash is the same on both. Says to me they share the exact same file structure.
