Ctrl sum from different tabs

Morning,

I have heard about a way to SUM a cell or range of cells from different tabs by using the Ctrl function, does anyone here knows how to do that?

For example, in sheet2 and sheet3 of cell d1 has 2 and 3 respectively, so in sheet1 of cell d1 I want the sum of the other two sheets. I want to do that by using the ctrl function.

I am not aware of the ctrl function. but D1 = sum(sheet2:sheet3!D1) returns the sum of d1 in the range of sheets mentioned.
