Hello all. I have a question regarding a cumulative total. I am making an overtime list. I want a "week total" row, "Sunday through Saturday" row and a cumulative total row. The difficulty I am having is that I want to be able to delete numbers in Sunday through Saturday but keep the cumulative number.

IE: 1st week starting Sunday through Sat would be 0,0,2,4,0,4,& 0.
The total for the week would obviously be 10 hours ot
the cumulative for the first week would be 10 hours ot.

I would like to delete the 0,0,2,4,0,4,0 and put in new numbers but keep the 10 cumulative.

Thanks in advance for any help that you guys and gals can give.

Excel Facts

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
A question to ponder

How are you going to prove (12 weeks down the line) that you calculated the cumulative for week two correctly ??
Not saying you won't do everything right but destroying the source data every week
leaves you open to accusations of error

I agree that that can be a problem in the future. I initially made a 52 week running total but my supervisor requested that the format be what I posted in the forum. It would be easier to just roll for the year IMO
