I have a text file with a long sting of text and numbers together. I brought that into excel and did a left formula to get me the 8 places that contain my dollar amount. The problem is the amounts have no decimal places in them. For example 00015825 I want to display it with a decimal. The last 2 digits are the decimal. so i want excel to display 158.25 How do I do that?

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
Hi:

You might try custom the formatting features forund in Format \ Cells \ Custom

look at the samples provided and modify as needed..

Also consider dividing the cell contents by 100 ie =+G12/100
