Hi

I have the following formating (in the type box of CUSTOM FORMATING) applied to a cell -

[$$-C09]#,##0.00;[Red]-[$$-C09]#,##0.00

The BLUE & RED formating works OK for PROFIT & LOSS except for one small thing. The RED formating for a LOSS does not work for values greater than -$1.00 (it is still BLUE for -$0.98 and similar values greater than -$1.00).

How do I get values greater than -$1.00 to show RED instead of BLUE.

Thanks

Steve

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Hi Steve,
I tried your formatting both with static values and with formulas resulting in values between -0.01 to -1.99

They were all correctly showing as red. Is it possible that you just haven't painted the formatting to the errant cells?

Thanks very much - you are correct.

I'm not too sure what caused that to happen but all is well now.

Have a good day.
