It used to be I could press CTRL-; and put the current date in the cell but in Excel 2010 when I do this I get an ellipsis … instead. Has anybody else had this problem and how do I fix it?

Thanks.

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
ctrl; suffices here

You can restore the original settings with:

Code:
Sub M_snb()
    Application.OnKey "^;"
End Sub

Is there any other software running that is overriding the use of CTRL-; ? Autohotkey script maybe?

CTRL and ; work for me to get the current date
CTRL Shift and ; still give me the current time

(Just helping you verify that Excel defaults have not changed)
