I have a list of fiscal quarters in this format. I just need to reference todays date and know if the value is Current or Next Quarter.

So for example, Current Quarter is Q220 as we are in April, Next Quarter is Q320.

Follow standard quarters, so Q1 is jan-mar, Q2 is apr-jun, Q3 is jul-sep, Q4 is oct - dec

 Q420 Q220 Q320 Q120 Q419 Q319 Q219 Q318 Q119 Q418

### Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.

Here are some formula to get the current quarter and next quarter, based on Today's date:
Current: ="Q" & INT((MONTH(TODAY())+2)/3)&TEXT(TODAY(),"yy")
Next: ="Q" & INT((MONTH(EDATE(TODAY(),3))+2)/3)&TEXT(EDATE(TODAY(),3),"yy")

To get the Current and Next quarters for a date in a cell, just replace TODAY() in those formulas with the address of the cell containing the date.
