Cursor flickers on pivot table when field list is displayed

I've just noticed this, which is a nuisance.
It started a few weeks ago after I had my laptop re-imaged (everything re-installed).

On a pivot table, if the active cell is within the table (data or labels), and the Field List is displayed, the cursor will flicker, anywhere it goes within the active window.

So - it's as if, when the blue lines around the pivot table are showing, that video overlay conflicts with the overlay of the Field List. When I hide the Field List, the flicker stops.

I have a lot of macros in my personal workbook, but none are running at these times; I have tested closing the personal workbook, but it makes no difference.
No relation to hovering over any images or other video-related items.

Any thoughts?

Win7, Office2010 - corporate machine, so I have no access to most settings, much less so to the registry!
