Has anyone created a function like dsum, but it instead of summing a field according the criteris, will generate a list of the field matching the criteria?

For example I have a database of student names, age, sex, gpa and want to generate a list of 16yr olds with a 3.0+ gpa. I also need the list to change as the gpa and age fields get updated.

Hi and welcome to the board.
No need for a custom function. There are numerous built-in tools in Excel to do this sort of thing. Advanced Filter is one. My personal preference, however, would be an advanced Pivot Table. If you are a pro, you might use MSQuery. All will produce the list you seek.

An advanced filter will work and is my fall-back position, but it will not update ad my data fields get updated. Also for graphing reasons, pivot tables do not work well.

Ycan dsum and daverage, all I want to do is dlist.

Any other thoughts?
