Hello,
Is there a way to create customized lists in the Headers and Footers?
I am using the same text in many different files, and wish I did not need to type it each time. Any ideas?
Thanks,
nm

If it helps, I'd probably run with either of these two approaches:

1) Just make a quick .xlt file with my customized headers/footers in place. (Then I'd use that file on future workfiles that need that standard).

2) Go to Tools/Macros/Record New Macro and record a macro in your Personal.xls file of you changing the headers and footers. Later you can just activate that code to apply the headers/footers.

Here's a tweaking/cleanup of that code as an example:

Code:
Sub Custom_headerfooters()

Application.ScreenUpdating = False

    With ActiveSheet.PageSetup
        .LeftHeader = "&N"
        .CenterHeader = "This is my header"
        .RightHeader = "yep"
        .LeftFooter = "customlefty"
        .CenterFooter = "mycustomfooter"
        .RightFooter = "aye"
    End With

Application.ScreenUpdating = True
End Sub

(Obviously adjusting what you want in the left/right/center values for what you actually want)
Hope that helps

Hi Alasa42,
Thank you for that! I'll use option 2 until they make it possible to customize the drop-down lists...
Cheers,
