When I attempt to "cut" a cell in Excel and "paste" the "cut" material into another cell, the cell or "cut" contents of the cell are accurately entered into the destination cell. However, the source cell remains unchanged. This problem occurs whenever I attempt to cut an entire cell or contents of the cell, i.e., text or formula in the formula bar.

This problem begun current the couple weeks ago.

nother very strange thing that is happening with "cut" or "copy" is date formats are not "cut" or "copied" correctly or accurately. For example, the source date Excel format is "yy-Mmm-dd" but when the source cell is "cut" or "copied" date format becomes "dd-Mmm-yy. " Contents of the formula bar for the source cell is "4/17/2020" but the content of the destination cell are "4/20/2017."

Any explanation would be most welcome.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
