Paying off a small bill for my grand-daughter and want to use the opportunity to teach the evils of credit cards by charging her daily compounding interest until she pays me back. Want a formula which updates the daily increasing balance owed so for instance if she owes $100 and interest rate is 20% she can open up the spreadsheet daily and see the payoff amount growing.

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.

Solution
Yes, I meant annual rate :) So if I put in a simple formula subtracting the start date from the current date to get my number of days, I could drop that in for the number of days and I would not have to copy the formula down the column ad infinitum, right? It would just update every day. Thanks so much for your reply!

Never mind on my follow-up. I wrote it at 4:25 A.M. :) I was correct on my follow-up question. Thanks, again!
